Security Cameras at the Gates!
Some of you may have notice the new cameras at each entrance and exit gate. For those that have attended the virtual monthly board meetings, you have seen it on the agenda before and we’ve spoken about it. The cameras that are getting installed are called Flock Safety Cameras.
What do they do? They read license plates of vehicles entering and leaving each gate. Many of residents have asked for cameras at the gates for years. Here they are.
No, they won’t be used to track residents. The primary reason is to see who damages the gates and hold that person accountable. We don’t care how many times you enter or leave the community. We care about the one car that comes in through the exit gate and damages it which will cost us money to repair. We care about a suspicious vehicle driving around at 3am the same night several vehicles get broken into.
Are residents required to register their vehicles with the Board or anyone? NO.
